WTF with tcs policy
I m working in a project and getting night shift allowance for being available till 1: am in the morning.
I start my work at 12:30PM and log off at 1:20AM. Going to office in the evening.
Today our manager has informed us that you must be available till 1:AM and attend all meeting with client.
As per policy, I can maintain 85% attendance to get QAV and can skip 1-2 days with no show.
My manager is saying that in order to get night shift you have to visit office, I can’t skip 1-2 days. Other wise i wont get NSA for that even i work till late night.
Is this fare? What kind of policies TCS have? I don’t have seat in Odc.
100% is the strict rule..
Below 85% is where your monetary penalty starts..
85% to 99% is a grey area.. Trust me.. We and HR are monitoring those people as well..
Anything minor+RTO Defaulter= Major Issue
Then I supposed to work 14+ hours, it’s against the policy
I always urge my kids to be diplomatic.. Give me a genuine reason so that I can convey that to upper management..
I can't directly go to upper management & say give him/her some space..
However if he/she have "migraine", I can definitely convey that..
YOU CAN'T FIGHT CORPORATE but YOU CAN MANIPULATE IT 😉

Can I know after what time are we eligible for night shift allowance ?
Just asking for shift timing over email. They can't mention more than 9 hrs. I am also doing night shift and it's work from home for us
