Was applying for a role at a big company and saw this as part of the application form. I mean, what’s the relevance of this info.

Could be to assess your growth in adolescence, low paid main earner- tough time, high survival instinct, gratitude, appreciates value. High paid main earner- easy life, low gratitude, comfort over hustle, first to run off when shit hits fan. They arent absolute truth for everybody but in general they stand true, ur circumstances mold your character that u ultimately impose in ur all walks of life including your professional. Its a byproduct of behavioural sciences.

Maybe I am being skeptical but they might use this to downplay you if they found your situation helpless.
