WTF is "Sandwich Leaves" !?
Just got to know from a friend, her company has something called "Sandwich Leaves", where if you take leave on a Friday/Monday/one day before or after a national holiday... Then Saturday+Sunday/the national holiday will also be counted as leave and deducted from the leave balance!
Who the fuck comes up with these policies !?
I'm literally hearing about it for the first time! Feel really bad for her and her colleagues... Such a shit company policy!

Sandwich leave is when you take a leave on Friday and Monday, sat sun will also be deducted as leave, ie 4 days of leave
But if u take leave only on Friday or on Monday then only 1 day will be counted as a leave

Sounds like a chutiya dukan not even company

I swear 😂😂😂

And HRs claim to be important.

Reality check HR don't get to decide this. The management does.

Groww me sde lgwa do bhaiya

It's the same in my wife's company. If you're taking PL, and it's on Friday and Monday, then non-working Saturday and Sunday are also counted as two additional days of leave

Which company is this ?

But how is this legal

Name and shame. Folks, if you know any company doing this, name them.

ya.. I too have heard of it before, sounds horrible. Thankfully I haven't had to face this in any of the companies that I have worked in. if I were in such company, I would point this out during exit interview. also post it as a warning everywhere like glass door, ambitionbox, etc
