Trending @Infosys; Wounding me,Friends, Putting all efforts in same company with less salary but if u go out and come back to same u get more salary views pls?

It's the same case in many companies..I left my previous organisation just because this.. now I am getting rehired there after 4 years with almost 4.5X of my last salary in the org when I left..
That’s how things work in such large organisations, most managers are not mentors but just a wheel in the cog having no long term outlook for employees. So relationship is transactional both ways . You feel company is not rewarding you enough but company is run by managers and their managers, your direct managers have no real power to give you those rewards , at best they can recommend and their recommendation would be wighed against the overall performance of your account/unit. In short personal attention to people career/ aspirations is 0. Not just in infosys but all large organisations .
