Would you use a “Spaces”-like feature if it got implemented on GV?
“Spaces” is a feature from Twitter that allows users to host live audio discussions. It’s like a virtual audio room where people can join, listen, and participate in real-time conversations on various topics

Self jeopardising. Anonymity goes for a toss in formats where time to think reduces.

Nope. I'm very pessimistic about the adoption, ultimately it will only be used by a few people (like Pop, ig)
So, let’s talk about this—firstly, I’m not sure about the exact engagement the team is getting on Pops. However, I agree there’s a small subset of users who are more active than others. My hypothesis is that while this platform may have over 250K users, only about 1% actively engage through posts or comments—around 2,500 users. Based on my observations, I’d estimate no more than 3-4% recurring active users here. Of course, this is just a rough guess, and the actual data could differ. Given this, platform adoption isn’t that widespread. So, when it comes to Pops or an audio-based feature, its adoption would likely be limited to an even smaller subset of these 3-4% active users. That said, adoption can always improve with the right execution and features tailored to user needs.
Even if you look at Twitter, Spaces is a very niche feature targeted at a small subset of its users. The trade-off between implementation cost and the engagement or retention it drives is a critical decision, and it’s something that heavily depends on data.
