Worst financial advice from our parents generation?
Has to be the obsession with buying a flat the second you start earning decent money. My dad still thinks paying 70k EMI for a 2BHK is a safe investment but rent is throwing money away. Bhai I don't even know if my org will fire me next month... why would I lock myself to one pin code for 20 years.

Avoid buying flat. Instead start doing SIP of similar amount

Exactly bhai. SIP gives you peace of mind and flexibility. Can't imagine the stress of a 70k EMI over my head right now.

The Misconception -> The truth
Flat at 25 -> Flat in 30s/40s LIC Policy -> Plain Term Life Insurance ULIP Policy -> Any product with multiple layers, is a way to skim fees Fixed Deposits -> SIP into a largecap Index fund

Spot on list. The LIC policy obsession is so real, my parents still try to sell me on those guaranteed returns lol.
