Worried about QVA
Hi, can someone shed light on QVA calculation, if you have understood it please. I know that the percentage calculation won't be transparent, i.e. whether we are given <10% or <25% or <50% or <75% or whatever else is completely subjective. And also there won't be any transparency on the WFO index. However I am speaking of a bigger problem here:
- our offer letters have the QVA mentioned at a monthly level (eg 10000). When you apportion this to a year, your yearly QVA value should be 10K*12=120000. Therefore, your Quarterly QVA value should be 1.2L/4= 30K. Out of this 30K, while I understand that transparency is not provided on, what basis how much has been paid, my concern is that they are paying us on the basis of the monthly value, for an entire quarter, and not the quarterly value, for the entire quarter. For example: in case your offer letter has QVA mentioned as 25K/month, then x12 for a year is 3L. Which means Quarterly eligible should be 75K. Now, consider the above SAMPLE VALUES against what is in your respective offer letter and based on what you have been every Quarter, think about it - is it <25K (baselined against monthly amount therefore they are scamming the calculation) or is it anywhere from 25K to 75K (in which case, they might at least be calculating the right way, but just not making the end values transparent.

The problem with the monthly baselining is that it is not true to the offer letter, and they will end up benefitting by paying us/making our pay eligible for only 34% of the original claimed QVA in the offer letter. Due to this miscalculation (if they are INDEED baselining at monthly level), then the offer letter is a false claim as 66% of the QVA isn't even being considered for payment to us.
