Trending @Accenture; Working in sap domain

Hi, i am currently working on sap sd domain with total 3years experience. I am confused with how future opportunities with sap will be and about the growth in staying with sap. Is it recommended to change domain to data analyst roles or to stay?

I would suggest either switching to some technical domain in sap or just change your entire domain because sap sd is one of the low paying and stream in sap , your carrier will revolve around delivery , purchase order, invoicing, sales like this. You can't get much learning in it. Switch to technical things for better career growth and pay. You would see the people with 7 -8 years of experience stay in the same company with SAP because very limited opportunities are there for these functional roles. There is no new skill you can learn in the functional domains.

SAP SD is stable and rewarding. Growth is possible with cross-functional skills. Switching to data analytics is competitive. Consider your passion and career goals before deciding.

SAP functional consulting jobs are much less susceptible to the whole AI-will-take-your-jobs-away discussion. Plus, it's more inclined towards management consulting roles rather than IT. So of you play your cards right and get highly competent in SAP SD along with learning SAP ABAP and getting some SAP certifications, it's much more rewarding than being a data analyst. Of course, if you're passionate enough, you can build your skillset in thay domain.
