Workers Union in IT Sector
Do you fear that joining a worker union will hamper your job prospects in the IT sector?

Unions aren’t good for any body. Or so history teaches

I disagree. Unions can help formalise regulations and rules. Today in India no one gets paid for working exrra etc. Unions can help overcome this. Todays society is run by power, money and politics. Unions just need people to overcome the other levers

I agree unions sound like a good idea. But any leadership eventually becomes corrupt in itself. I’m afraid union leadership will let workers down more than the CXOs have.
Money is the ultimate incentive for all leaders. And it corrupts all people across levels

It will freeze payscales and will enforce notices and non competes even more draconian. Union can pass resolutions to say implement caste quota etc. I personally dont want that . Its for all others to decide. Also - you can NEVER EVER work as a freelancer or independent contractor

This is just proper fearmongering and completely incorrect. I'm not going to comment on the casteism because that's standard shit in this space i guess.

It's an example of extreme positions Unions will take. You can replace it with Mandatory Vegetarian/ Non Vegetarian meals in canteens. Unions provide immense power and political players WILL ENTER. No one can stop it.
Please point out why its incorrect.
