Work location change in TCS
My joining location is chennai, but I have to work from the Pune location as from the project few people already work from Pune or there nearest location like Kolkata even ODC is not there. Is that possible?
If the manager or HR refused can we go directly without informing them? Or any other suggestions... already given medical reason which is genuine but neither they are mentioned to submit a medical certificate or neither are talking...
No, you can't just move without informing them. You need approval. Keep pushing HR and your manager. If they refuse, escalate the issue. Don't go rogue; it won't end well.
My base location is Bangalore and I'm working from Bihar location.Just send mail to HR as and manager and tell that you will work from your base location and no one can officially force you to leave base location.If there is no odc and they don't allow,ask them to release from project to see other oppertunity.I have seen in my project whomever base location is different than project location and have no odc there ,they just force to come on call but no mail they can send.I gave medical reason on my mother and working from remote location.HR and Manager will only make you afraid but can't do much thing as per tcs policy,no one can ask you to work from different than your base location.
