Work from office policy..
None of my team members belongs to the same state as of mine.My seat allocation is done not in the nearest branch and it takes me around 4 hours for round trip(home to office and back to home from office) and costs me around 250 INR..Also seat allocation is in the common ODC where I am not sure anyone is there from my account..What is the logic behind making WFO compulsory in my case and what would be the gain even from organization point of view in such scenarios?? And now they are saying spend significant amount of time in office...how to handle this situation?
They are indirectly asking you to leave the organisation. That is the logic behind these decisons
Noone can understand the policy and the logic behind this. There are many employees who are permanently working from home, and there are employees who are suffering from this pathetic policy changing every now and then without any logic and sense
It's just waste of time and money. Even I am spending 4 hours in driving to office and back to home. TCS doesn't care so I also don't care now. Earlier I used to be more productive and give priority to work and now I am giving priority to going to office. I don't care what client thinks, I just follow processes now.
I have the same story but still forced to go office daily.
It's almost similar situation for lot of employees.. But who cares.. !
The main objective is to stop moonlighting and Work For Home. Still if they want to stop these at least they should let us come to nearest office . Main chukiya is ceo and chro ..

Same here for me. I am from Chennai. And my seat was allocated at Siruseri campus. Roundtrip(62.3kms). No one is from the same state. I am the only lead from Tamilnadu and all other associates of the entire accounts from the North part of India. BTW, I just joined TCS very recently (4 months ago).
Idioticity at its height .. assuming office efficacy is more when we provide remote service of offshore resources to onsites which are other side of the globe
Manager atrocities in other words and good manager gives exceptions in n number of ways with an understanding from HR
