Hi all,
I have been working at Accenture for over 3 years. I recently changed my base location, but now one of my immediate family members is facing a medical emergency which is unexpected, and we need to return to our hometown. I requested an exception for a month, but HR rejected it. I can't visit the base location even once a week because I need to take care of that person. I am feeling confused and stressed about how to proceed further.
Kindly provide ur suggestions.

Talk to your manager and DU lead about the situation if the PMO raised OIT without reimbursement. HR don't have a say in that

Resign and find another job, what is the use of a job which will not let you take care of your close people. From whom are u earning?
HR are the worst persons I have seen in Accenture , they are like taking free salary with 0 efforts, fuck the HRs man.

I am also facing a similar situation. My wife is pregnant and the HR has rejected my exception request. Since I can't relocate to my base location in this situation and WFO is also not possible as the base location is very far.

I believe it depends on manager, two of my colleagues got such exemption. They had similar situation. They convinced manager, and they still doing WFH.
