Why in holy hell should one travel 1300+ km from his/her hometown to office 3 days a week and in night shift that too only till 11 pm as cab facility is not yet available till 3:45 and the DC has no colleague from the team???? Are the upper management that dumb to implement this highly fartacious rule???

Don't go. We have been asked aswell from 22Oct however some who are there near DC location are joining from office and few moved (freshers). My whole team still doing wfh and still have option available for wfh for 266hrs , it may change in future but we are doing it as long as client has no objection which it's not. Moreover I totally agree with you upper mgmt are totally dumb, like tf they are asking us to travel 1300+ km just to do 3days week including night sheet with no cab facility after 11pm calling and excusing collaboration among teams and members while half of my team is sitting onsite abroad and half to other states DCs and doesn't even keenly consider allowing to login from DC nearby to our city if there's an option. But most of all if the job is done from home without any issues why asking to move ? With same shitty salary

Right🤣🤣🤣 they're forcing me to wfo from Pune, I'm from Rohtak and the other team members have their base DC in Chennai and Bangalore, manager is from Mysore, the literal reason the manager told me to wfo is for collaboration and what I am doing? Is my screen visible from Pune office on the same laptop that I used to do wfh with my team members. I literally stare at walls and have become a proficient wall speaker since the last 2 months, no mobile, no books or notebooks or even a pen is allowed in the odc. Lawerence Bishoi is having a better life in jail than me🥲

They are forced to do this because of the state gov, as the local economy was getting affected, hence the return to office, otherwise they were saving quite a lot on operational cost when everyone was wfh

Thumb rule & dumb rule—modern-day slavery in action. Explaining our situation to countless LALAs running the company feels futile; they sip coffee, munch biscuits, and make decisions detached from the ground reality.
