More money to fund the dreams of one of the most toxic unicorn founders in India. Great for the industry, not so great for everyone who will be put through the torture of working with bhavish
What makes him toxic?
Everyone I know who he worked with him closely has either left on bad terms or always has something to tell about his dark side. And his management style is very well documented https://www.firstpost.com/explainers/tearing-presentations-making-staff-run-laps-how-ceo-bhavish-aggarwal-made-ola-a-toxic-workplace-11479481.html
Anyone owns one of their scooters? Last I remember hearing a lot about the fire incidents and stuff.
Are they really good? Compared to Ather?
Ather is better choice
Scooters aren't that bad actually. Ergonomics and things like seat space etc. is more friendly for aunties and uncles than Ather I would say. Also the discounts on them are mad so I don't know if it'll be as attractive in the long term.
However if you're looking for a younger feel with a more refined experience Ather is better.
Can't comment on the fire incidents.
5bn valuation for ola electric? lol
Moments like these depress me.. what do they see ij these cash burning companies?. A hitech taxi broker witha shitty ev two wheeler. Why would anybody consider it worth 6 billlion...
Have you ever driven the shitty electric two wheeler?
Why you salty man?
Idk why people have a problem with that. They are the market leader in 2W EVs and will stay so (they have economies of scale). The scooter is great, I love how it has great software and tech, makes it fun and a big differentiator from old 2Ws. Also, their new EVs are almost priced equivalent to ICE 2Ws, so the market share will shift rapidly next year.
Unpopular opinion: I'm kinda hoping Ola Electric becomes big. I think it is already the largest 2 wheeler EV manufacturer. And I think Tesla is kinda overrated.
I guess it's quite a popular opinion. There's a loud minority of online haters who love to diss.
Would be really cool if they actually pull off an IPO
It's doomed to fail. I want it to fail.
It’s a capital intensive manufacturing business.
