With the new bench policy of possible termination after 35 unallocated business days...

TCS has shamelessly tilted the advantage of notice period to the company's favour. If your leadership + HR wants, they can collude and release you from the project and terminate you after 35 business days (which is Appx 60 calendar days). However, if you want to leave from your end, they have all the power to make you wait for 90 calendar days.

Shouldn't the number of days be the same for both cases for a fair employment?

In that case if we are on bench and drop papers will they release us in 30 days ?

If you’re on bench & drop papers , there is a possibility to get released immediately or within a week as well . All depends on the HR
