As per my observation mobile application are the best when compared to web application.
Because we don't want to keep a separate server and deploy and maintain that server.
We are eventually making apps directly to the backend service.. Which is cost savings for many companies..
Even if the app is not in the play_store we can share it in what's app or other to our family and friends
Apps will need servers most of the time even if it is native mobile app for getting data from the backend.
The current trend is if you don't need specific device capability or super fast experience go with web apps using technologies like react native etc. Webapps are good enough for most of the people if developed in the right way. This saves tons of money as you don't need two separate applications for Android and iPhone. Also the release cycle is quicker.
