Trending @Cognizant; Wish you all the best for your future

Today marks my last working day here at cognizant.

For those interested to hear what i did, I resigned without any offer letter in hand. 3 months back and not gonna lie it was hell of a ride full of uncertainty. I did receive one offer letter in between but I declined it because it was not even meeting minimum expectation I had (call it a dumb move maybe cause didn't use it as leverage but anyway I did). Gave a lot of interviews in between and with every interview became a bit stronger. Didn't get any offer though until today XD. Also, have a interview scheduled tomorrow as well which, very likely wont be attending cause I am happy with current offer. Ask any questions you have. Note:- I wont be giving personal identifiable info.

@Justaguy Bro i had put my resignation then got mail of lwd would be sep 12 they used some earned leaves to reduce also then submited in clearance and automation There its showing stage 1 and stage 2

Stage 1 is showing completed.

For stage 2 do i need to do.follow up with someone or it will be done.

And what documents i should download or ask .

You can check status from top right corner button on clearance automation tab. There concerned teams which you are required to contact with is also mentioned. By the time your lwd is near it should be showing only 3 things pending from their side i.e - security, csw and hrss clearance. From your side it should be only asset clearance remaining(which you will be returning likely on last date).

You don't really need to download all the required docs before lwd as they will provide you a portal as well post lwd to access those. Anycase here's the letters new companies ask for:- form 16, resignation acceptance letter/relieving letter, experience letter, payslips of last 3/6 months, latest increment letter.

Prepared for how many months bro and you were in development or support like project?

I dont exactly remember but I guess it's over 6 months now. Initially i was doing just mild preparation and only started getting serious in last one month. You can't really prepare for things until you get out there and see what they are actually looking for, that's why I wrote getting bit stronger every time. Initial rejections will only prepare you better. My project was development + support mix. That being said even if you are completely on a support project you can learn alot by breaking things down into smaller chunks and trying to understand.

Here's a tip:- before putting paper do research about market outside and make sure there is demand for your tool or stack and what exactly they are looking for. In short it should be calculated move and not something you take based on emotion alone.
