
Trending @Wipro; Wipro’s Promotion policy is pure Bullshit
So, I’ve had this honour to attend the so called ‘’Understanding the role based promotion process’’ meeting today.
In the meeting they mentioned that the promotion is not nomination based anymore and there’s no need to ask manager for promotion again and again.
But, in order to be eligible for promotion, you need to ask your manager. In order to get a better rating in coming appraisal, you need talk to your manager, in order to know whether you will be eligible for a N+1 role in the coming quarter, you need to talk to your manager.
I approached my HR to discuss about my tenure is more than 18months in the current band and still I’m not getting considered for a promotion. What should I do? Do you know what my HR replied back ? ‘’TALK TO YOUR MANAGER ABOUT THIS’’
I mean what the hell? Where’s the bullshit transparency you were bragging about ?
And at the end, the management itself can’t able to answer few questions which people had at the end. I feel the Wipro’s core management is all in chaos right now and the portrayal image of company is just a cover up!
There’s a simple quote that goes ‘’A building with a weak foundation may rise, but it will never stand the test of time’’ and that time is near.

Very well put, previliged to be in the same call. Left as soon as the slide was done, understood there's no point even asking questions, leave as soon as you can!

I got a clear picture today that staying loyal to this company is just like standing on rock surrounded with reptiles! Don’t know what happens next minute.

Good thing I resigned from Wipro, rather than accepting the bullshit from spineless leaders/management in Wipro.
It would have taken me a decade in Wipro to get a 40% hike from my current pay, which I easily got externally

Not at all surprised. Forget promotion, getting only 60 - 70% QPLC for last so many quarters is day light robbery.

Any way they are not even promoting resources while nomination process was alive... this role based thing is just scrap. They will not release you from your role and even if you will get release they will never provide you the role you wanted ......
