Will you guys be wrapping up the work early today given the mock drills that are supposed to happen today?

My manager being a typical subservient indian manager said keep the day as usual.

Seriously bro - keep it as usual. the government is going to conduct a blackout tonight at around 7 pm and you want to keep the day as usual.

Wars keep happening sometime or another. If all the people start abandoning their work at the first sign of trouble on the border, society will collapse.

Let soldiers fight the war on the border, your contribution to the country is to keep doing your own job through tough times, so society & country can continue to function.

Even between air raids, businesses need to function to serve to the daily life & needs of the population of the country. So you do your part by continuing to do your daily job

Totally agree, but if the government is asking its citizens to conduct a blackout what do you think that means. And what are you supposed to do in a blackout.

The indian government never had asked its citizens to conduct mock drills. Plus bro all I am saying is to wrap up the work early in the evening.
You really think by wrapping up the work at around 6/7 PM will lead to the collapse of the society. Really bro.

If a war starts, blackouts will happen every night. So we stop doing our jobs?

Sit quiet in the dark at night when there is a blackout or air raid siren, otherwise it's life as usual

How many hours do you actually work per day?

For me 5 - I start by 11 and end by 7 but take an hour lunch break, 4-5 tea/coffee breaks and some gossips - I tracked one day and it was 5.2 hrs.

What about you?
