Will you attend a Grapevine organized event/meetup/mixer?
Folks, wondering if we should put the efforts into organizing something that gets a few of us together in person. If yes, what kind of an event would you want?
People who have event ideas, do share :)
Two things we know for sure:
- You ofcourse won’t have to pay for anything
- No one reveals their GV user name to each other
Will there be food?
Yes at least some decent snacks and drinks (there should definitely be be wine at a grapevine event lol)

Some day. But likely doing to start in Bangalore first since we live here and it’ll be least expensive for us
Y'all could look at The Talent Deck for inspiration, they're a community of people/HR folks and they have some absolutely AMAZING events - Ashish Punjabi and Mohammed Sufiyan head it
TTD usually manages to get good sponsorships, though, I guess, you'll suffer a little on this part since you probably won't be sharing access to attendees' details with the sponsors... Or maybe you can? I'm assuming you'll have some form of outside of Grapevine communication, like Google forms or a WhatsApp group to confirm how many people are coming and to coordinate?
Organise a speed dating/blind dating or whatever tf dating event you want to do preceded with asking thier salaries, make a reel with heeriye heeriye song in the background, see your daily active grapevine users grow 200%. Profit Michael!?!!? 😼
Lol, hold a series of events over a week, Monday is only for IIM/IIT people, Tuesday is only for people earning 7 figures, so on and so forth and Sunday would be for nalle people up to no good in life 🤣🤣

Unrelated but do you think it makes sense to develop a feature like twitter spaces for grapevine? Like to deal with how we all are spread across the country? Not to mention helps the community like live AMAs or just random townhall on any interesting topics
We can.
But these features usually get very low adoption. They only work when famous people do an audio room. Grapevine is fundamentally not about famous people so wonder how it’ll work
You can take inspiration from fishbowl. Inside space you can either make everyone anonymous or show their real name; this will seperate everyone from their grapevine username.
