If you are allocated then it's fine you are safe but try to be complaint for WFO Atleast for the next 2 quarters

Agreed. What @CooperateKing42897 said makes sense. See, we are not sure whether the management will stop with firing 2%.

What if they discover 2% is not enough and decide to fire few more but the benched people are done ?

Their next target would be people in project and this WFO would be a big factor. So just like @CooperateKing42897 said remain compliant while there is FUD.

I think this things are depends on your Unit and manager if your manager don't have any problem then no worries but if your manager want to target someone then you will be the easy target for him.
