Will tcs retain me?

I’ve been working at TCS for the past 3 years. In the last week of April, I submitted my resignation. I had a feeling that my project team might try to retain me—and as expected, they did reach out and asked me to share my offer letter for consideration.

Currently, I’m being offered around a 30% hike with other company. I also had a discussion with the TCS HR, where they asked me about my expectations and the reason behind my decision to leave.

However, as of today, I haven’t received any official communication regarding retention. Instead, I received a separation guid and process. I’m wondering—does this mean that the retention process is no longer being considered, or is it just part of the standard resignation workflow while the final decision is still pending?

Is it possible that retention might still happen in the next few weeks?

Would really appreciate any insights from others who’ve gone through something similar. Thanks in advance!

Depends on how valuable you are to your immediate supervisor, has nothing to do with your skills or hard work One guy got retained in my project only because he was handling the TL’s and the Manager’s calls and reports But the vital question is “Why do you want to stay back?” Explore the market get up skilled and earn much better.

Ok, if there are so many outlying factors then staying is wise Though there are better firms who also provide flexible timings but work has to be 9 hours not like TCS

Depends on your dependency in the project and the supervisor or manager of the same...

Seperation process is different from retention process..once u resigned, seperation process starts parallely with retention talks. You might get retained even on last day - that depends on ur discussion with manager and HR. Retention process is handled by seperate team, if you are getting retained - u have to mail the retention team to stop as u r getting retained

If you are critical for a project, they can match the offer
