Will tcs retain
Hi folks,
I am 7+ exp , still c1. Worked in java springboot till now. If I put down paper, will tcs retain me or not? The catch is my project will be ending on 31st jan.
Ctc: 9 lpa

If you’re really important for the project they will retain you. For me, they agreed to give more than 100% hike for retaining.
But it will be a TRAP, so either don’t resign or if resigning then don’t get retained.

No , nowadays they have stopped retaining. Even if you have too much dependency on the project they will try to search alternate. In the rare scenario if they couldn't find an alternative for the time being they will retain you but they will also add you in the vulnerable associates list ( those having the highest chance of leaving org) and pm will continue to keep searching and alternatives. Once they find your alternative, you will be the first person to be released from the project and ultimately termination. So it is never a good solution to get retained rather than switch.

Make sense.
I know I will be in fluidity like this.. but with so low ctc hard to negotiate outside. With new ctc, the next offer letter can be better😅

Jump dont look back jump. 7 years exp about time to look elsewhere and min 100 % hike. So God speed ahead.
They will retain if you absolutely critical. If not as well its good idea to leave cause you never know what they will pull out later. Plus working on Java Springboot I am surprised you are fine with this pay. You deserve minimum 16 LPA about this time.
I'm in the same boat as you. C1 & 7+exp
