My WFH requests almost get auto approved so I tend to WFH most of the time since commuting to the office is difficult. My approver is now asking why I am taking so many requests to WFH. Will I get in trouble? Can approvers see our attendance - how many days we've WFH and how many from the office ? Why are they bothered about this anyway, will mangers get in trouble for this ? What should I do?

Yes, of course. However, your query does not make you sound like a Consultant. Rather, you sound like a newbie. They know all of the information and are eventually held accountable to HR.

If you've got wfh balance then it's fine, otherwise start commuting to office
