Will grapevipe survive?

Zorro rebranded to Hood but don't know anyone using it. The early days are fun because it's full of gossip but it can leave you feeling very negative after a while. Wdyt?

If the LPA posts continue, it will be very difficult. Needs strong moderation and quality control. Go the reddit way I say.

LPA?

I feel moderation has been pretty heavy and rightly so. But yea LPA posts are a bit much.. perhaps best combined and put to one tab which can be viewed as per need.

Only common denominator is that both are anonymous. Hood has a myriad of topics whereas grapevine is still profession and career centric. That way hood is competing with the likes of twitter but grapevine with linkedin and glassdoor.
Grapevine is useful and niche now, hope it doesn’t get diluted when there are 100k + users.

Ya. Makes sense. The focus will help them grow. And hopefully negativity won't creep in.

With ads in between the thread they will survive, but quality will go down the drain, Another Facebook, quora, LinkedIn, ppl will start posting vacation pictures and it will be allowed because user numbers will start to matter DAU, MAU etc

Will have to enable video ads if that is the case, display ads wouldn’t be able to contribute significantly to topline. (+ would require a sales team).

While it seems like a great product and I hope they do well.
