Will AI take away all our jobs ?

As someone working as a tester, this question is constantly on my mind. With tools like ChatGPT writing automation scripts and generating test cases so efficiently, it’s hard not to wonder — is the role of a tester becoming obsolete?

I’ve been amazed at how AI can assist with test automation, data validation, and even exploratory testing suggestions. While it’s exciting, it’s also a bit unsettling.

Are we moving toward a future where human testers are no longer needed? Or will our roles evolve into something new — perhaps more focused on strategy, oversight, and creativity?

Would love to hear what others in the tech world think. Are you adapting? Upskilling? Or worried like me?

Let’s talk about it — where do you see the role of testers in the age of AI?

Yes, probably but it'll take time. Not every layman can use AI for such tasks that you've mentioned, you do need domain knowledge. People who don't upskill themselves will be hit, but if you're constantly improving yourself and leveraging AI, don't worry and keep grinding.

I personally can't wait for AI to get here soon enough, I want my universal basic income 😋. /s
