Trending @Accenture; Will a client escalation after resignation impact my exit process due to previous health-related leaves?

I’m currently serving my notice period at Accenture and had previously taken frequent sick leaves due to genuine health issues. I had also informed my team and provided valid medical reasons. However, the client raised an escalation related to deliverables during that time.

Now, my delivery lead mentioned that if another escalation happens, it might impact my exit process. I’d like to understand: • Can a client escalation after resignation really affect my formal exit? • Is there any Accenture policy or HR guideline that protects employees who faced health challenges but continued doing their best? • Also, I’ve been asked to travel onsite (to the US), but I’m not interested due to personal reasons. Is it mandatory during the notice period?

No..once you resign these fuckers cant do anything..atmost they will try to give negative feedback but as per my experience .BGV teams which checks for feedback are least concerned about negative feedback

First of all it depends what kind of escalation is there, if escalation is about your productivity or performance or behavior then its not a matter of worry. In such cases you will be released from client work but you will still be part of same project. In worst case scenario you will be released to bench.

However if escalation is related to any policy violation or misconduct or anything similar, then it can lead to termination .

Now finally about background checks, don't be misguided by any comments and become careless, company do consider negative feedback, if negative feedback is from immediate last company then sometimes it is ignored, provided it is not the only company in your career.

I can give you two example of negative BGV

  1. A negative BGV was given by third party and HR asked project if they want to retain or let go resource , project retained

  2. In one case, may sound funny, HR came after 2-3 years of joining and told project that candidate's BGV failed, please plan backfill, no option of retaining

All the best 👍
