Why you did arrange marriage?

(Option4) Other Stuff - In a dilemma of being settled with someone who you do not like but you compromised and thought that this person might be the best choice to be called the father/mother of your kids.

Option 5 - You genuinely liked your spouse when you met for the first time and think of them as the perfect person that you could share your life with. (For this pls mention exclusively in comments, as only 4 options are there).

Please share your thoughts in the comments section or if you would like to add anything.

PS : I'm not married and just looking for perspectives from experienced folks out there. Thanks for your time guys!!.

Trust me, dating/seeing someone is fine but prefer marrying someone who comes from similar societal/financial/educational etc strata as yours. Trust me all the lure of beauty & sex will fade away very quick, beyond thats its just comprises in some form or other to keep marriage sustaining. Lesser the diversity less likelihood of frictions at many fronts

Most people who do AM don't do it for any of the reasons you mentioned.

After 25, the social conditions etc in India are such it's exceedingly difficult for both guys/girls to find partners. India is super diverse in terms of caste, religion, language, food choices, culture etc.

People might date but marrying them isn't an option due to any of the above reasons. AM is a good way to find an objectively compatible partner.

There's a reason dating apps don't work at all in India even among the educated English speaking crowd.
