Trending @Wipro; Why WMG and Practice sucks..
I began my career as a .NET developer and was initially associated with the Microsoft practice. During my first year, I worked on .NET projects, but later, I transitioned to various roles such as tester and service desk engineer.
After three years at Wipro, I shifted my focus to IT Service Management (ITSM) and started working on ITIL projects. My journey continued for eight years until I decided to take a sabbatical and pursue an MBA in Operations.
Upon returning to Wipro, I hoped for better compensation and a management role. However, I faced an unexpected challenge. My WMG (Workforce Management Group) head rejected my request to change my skillset from .NET development to management. Despite explaining that I had shifted away from .NET development and gained experience in ITIL, they insisted on assigning me .NET developer roles.
The situation has left me feeling frustrated. It's disheartening when even with a clear case for change, internal processes don't align with our expectations.
I appreciate the opportunity to share my story, even if I don't seek any specific assistance.
Feel free to reach out if you'd like to discuss anything further. 😊

Wmg are dumb in Wipro. Many cases you can find like this. One day these internal management people will sink this company.

Why you want to be ITIL, .net development or any development is much better than ITIL, I am also In the same ITIL dealing with change incident and problem management and etc.. And I want to change to different tech.
