Why WFH is big deal?
I m literally struggling to get wfh even in a family situation. My father underwent a big surgery a month and half back and my sister was taking care of him untill now now she had to go back since her office had given her all this time to stay home and take care and during this I came back just 20days post his surgery and here since then trying to make up for the 20 days i want here and now that I need to go back home since my parents are alone my as*hole boss says its difficult also I have my marriage in nov and i saved all my yr holidays for this time and they are aaying we cant give you 3 weeks holidays… Can someone tell me do manager have the right to decide when i can take holiday ? and why WHF is such a fuss even in critical situations?
Just apply for leaves if planned and switch off the phone when off. Say fearless in some meetings that you will be on leave these days and also send calendar invites to everyone in your team. Do not bother and have a good time. If there is dependency and you have good skills and repo then nothing will happen.
Facing same issues man, can't help. Either you speak to manager once more and see a room for negotiation/some leaves if you have. Else, stay for few months and take an exit from there.
