
Why TCS is so strict about the Notice Period?
I'm serving my NP right now. I don't have any work, no any active project. My current project was started recently only and no any major tasks was done yet, but still my replacement has been onboarded in the team and I've given him all the KT and everything. I asked for an early release and my manager told he has no issues, he can give me early release and he'll ask with the delivery manager. But now the delivery manager is saying that no one can get early release even if you don't have any work, you have to serve the 90 days NP.
What should I do now, getting early release is very imp for me now because of some emergencies and these people sitting on top in TCS aren't listening.

I am serving my notice as well.
I connected with my business HR and told her about the situation. It did not move the needle so I went to her peer and explained her the situation.
I did not receive a response/ help from either.
I went to a level above and ‘nicely’ spoke to their manager and explained him the situation(cause at this point, we’re literally a liability to TCS) so he got me in touch with a HR who helped me get the early release as she understood about TCS paying me for free.
I created a win-win situation for both of us.
What I’m trying to say here is, explore other HRs and if not then go to the head and speak to them ‘kindly’ and you’ll meet one or the other sensible person who will not take your resignation personally and try to make your life difficult during your last 90 days.

See this is what I wanted to convey, I've not seen any person other than my manager yet in TCS who has some sense to act according to the situation. Hope I'll also find someone here who can understand it and help me.

Keep looking, you are fending for yourself. So unless you help yourself, no one is going to…
Just ask from someone who is the separation HR that is generally assigned in your location and then you can connect with him.. He/She will have no issue .
