Why Tcs is my dream company?

Well everyone here disses on Tcs from time to time. But I’m thankful to it.

I’ve a story to share.

My uncle joined Tcs 10y back. He was a coder back then. Came from a teaching background and a really small town. Barely had any money to make ends meet.

He got first proper job in our company. Worked hard. Got appreciated. Moved to USA team. And is now driving a beautiful Mercedes, raising a family.

Well Tcs might not change your life completely but it is a stepping stone for many great things we will do later in our lives.

Don’t be in sulky mood all the time. Sometimes close your eyes and be grateful for the opportunities you’ve.

Good luck. Sending positive vibes to you all.

Depends on what your baseline in life was..if your baseline was already very low..TCS would seem like a dream come true..If your baseline was already high..TCS can feel like a nightmare.

Yes you’ve to be happy. That’s the only baseline that matters

It would be better if TCS don’t hire C3B and above simply because they cannot meet their expectations whatsoever. Let them run the show with freshers and junior resources- they’re available for cheap. Employees bhi khush. TCS bhi khush.

Not only c3b, They should not hire c2 and c3a resources also from outside also bcoz they ruin their career as well

Great idea. Best to tell freshers to treat TCS as a 1-2 year internship at most after which they will have to look elsewhere. No need to gather all the negativity and ruin people's lives.

After I get the onsite opportunity, I will write a book on why TCS is the greatest IT company in the history of Human civilization.

12/13 years have passed no onsite yet. Very depressed.

What’s the strategy for onsite? Is it because of politics or genuine lack of opportunity?

They take in projects promising onsite but don't deliver onsite. Happened 2/3 times already. Also the geo is US so visa issues.

I will soon ask for release from the US unit itself if the current project does not work out.

I agree. Got lot of learnings and travel opportunities. Learned about foreign culture. Had many lunch dinner with clients paid by TCS. Got cars on rent paid by TCS to roam around in US for various trainings. Learned a new sport. Spent 2-3 hours sweating playing outdoors. Went to most beautiful beaches. Whenever needed, took vacations to visit India for 1-2 months. This is all TCS can provide which couldn’t have been otherwise possible for a boy with lot of responsibilities in his 20s. I am grateful for this life and this company.

It’s not same for all people in my unit too :-)

If I start today, it may not be same.

It all depends on hard work, art of making it visible, and then luck and people above you as well. But possible for sure with a positive mindset.

I would recommend that all of you watch the movie "HUMARE BARAH". The truth is suppressed in society for not sure what a good reason? None of the theatres of Hyderabad have allowed this movie to be hosted. Is this democracy we live in? I don't want hate here but the muslims of this nation need to start taking accountability and contribute towards the nation's success and forbid themselves from having numerous kids. This is for the greater good.

Yes TCS changed life of so many employees.i also have examples where People came from very backward places, very poor communication skills still made good carriers in tcs with their hardwork. TCS gave them that opportunity that's why it's my favourite company:)

It might appear like fir few years. Once you are deprived of good appraisals and timely promotions even after your hard work and smart work then you will start feeling bad and curse this company and your managers
