Why TCS is more concern on dress code instead of quality work?

Dress code reflects discipline and professionalism. It's about creating a consistent, respectful work environment. Quality work and appearance go hand in hand. It's not just about who sees you.

TCS wants to let people go without firing them so making everything extremely difficult. 5 days office business formals and shoes . How can u ask me to travel in public transport and come in business formals when u don’t even provide a seat to sit… Bad appraisal, mental harassment it has become so persistent. I am shocked to see this I joined TCS in a very dreamy happy stage I didn’t know this is what it will come to

Why women has no dress code. Even if it has. No one cares . They can come with sandles, chappals. No one questions in my office unlike men manager asks men to maintain dress code.

Yes because of this dress code I could not come by bicycle,thought of doing that but everything seems too boring here...planning to get out asap

Managers and management are not professional then how they can expect professionalism with newly hired or fresher guys

Dress codes reflect a 20th century mindset of workers dressed uniformly obeying orders. None of the truly great tech gaints like Google, Apple, Microsoft, Meta etc. have dress codes. Modern innovative companies focus on the work and value that you bring to the table.
