Good observation, there were fewer major accidents before 2022. I don't know why they've started happening more often.

I will be avoiding trains for my safety.

That^ argument can be used against the least risky as well as the riskiest thing - which makes it pretty much useless.

Why should I prefer trains over flights and buses? This would be an acceptable argument.
