Literally wants to know the reason, I have seen so many people who actually are just Associate Manager at Accenture but they put Senior Manager on LinkedIn.

Linkedin is used for job change, they are trying to lure the next company for higher designation. So by showing Sr Manager, they are trying to get VP designation in the next company.
