Why people asking to rate their salaries? Think about savings rather than your salary.

Few people earning less than 10LPA might be happy with the way they manage their expenses and savings, while few people even though overpaid might be struck in paying EMIs, CC bills and other unsual spendings. Dont compare your salaries with others, just manage your money well & try to upskill.

While what you say is absolutely true, but its also important to know if you are being paid according to the market for your skillset and getting what you deserve and i believe the polls are for that.

The responses are not accurate for certain roles, e.g. Hardware salaries are much more than software for a lower YOE, above 10Y WLB is more value than Sal which is not expressed in pureplay sal comparisons.
