Why isn't GMail updating since weeks in Android?

Have been seeing the same description for ages, why don't Gmail team mention on what they updated? Even when layout of Gmail was changed, it wasn't mentioned.

Atleast other's in Google LLC have "Fixed performance issues and bugs"

How important is it to update? The description of the update has been same for years. Sometimes, 1 hour after updating they ask me to update again 🤷

For me it's not 😞

Grapevine 🍇 Not sure if it's a bug. If it's implemented as a feature I'm curious to know if the engagement has increased by implementing this.
