Trending @Infosys; Why is the project onboarding process so complicated here?
Title. I feel the project onboarding process is complex and complicated for no reason. The project I'm being on-boarded to requires me to get approvals from several managers and client, complete multiple Lex courses, chase the support team for help to raise tickets and wait for their resolution. Not only that, failure to get that done on time would lead to an escalation against ME. Doesn't help when most of the time they don't even respond to my pings.
In what world does that make sense? Why isn't the BGV and Onboarding process a responsibility of the client and onboarding team itself? Why does the candidate need to do all that sh*t?

felt the exact same thing when I joined infosys. I feel the part where there will be random person from the unit taking the interview rather than the actual project people doesn't make sense to me.
Offtopic: if you'd joined last year, is this ur 1st project or 2nd? And how long did u stay on the bench

ππsame for me as-well , along with that random people were coming for assigning random trainings π and I was like how there is no collaboration/ synchronisation within organisation π«

Yeah that happens I guess. It's my second project, was on the bench for 3-4 weeks.

Agreed

Welcome to Infosys π

Totally agree
