Why is the hustle culture in Bangalore and Gurgaon so superficial? Is it only me who feels this way.

I have been part of many group conversations with co-workers about grinding late and working weekends. I observed that I could not even relate with that they speak out and find the hustle mindset very surface level, materialistic and sometimes just trying to show off. While I know most of them are regular employees just like me. They seem to be more influenced by social media and aspire to lead a life like a startup founder, which they themselves are fake and far away from reality. It's none of my business what they work on even today on Tuesday. But I find it very superficial and fake. And there is no take away from those talks. Does anyone else feel the same? Please do not tell me this is corporate, do your and go home because that I know already.
