Why is hiring got worst than ever ?

Ok a little background why does every company want every skill in the it to one single person they want hire an intern with 15k salary who should know devops, backend, frontend, AI & ML knowledge, Cyber security , cloud and everything other thing Not to mention Indian Startups are worst

  1. Here is your 10k salary built are entire system backend and frontend and also push to production
  2. We will pay you in experience
  3. After 3 take home assignment but stipend is only 5k They really want mid/Senior level engineers at the salary of an intern Was the hiring market was always this bad ?

Yes, Even 12 yrs back I had heard stories of people working @ 8k/month kind of salary. Gradually, they used to go for 8k to 15k, and after resigning and switching Job after 1 year to 25K may be, and so on…. So this exploitation of freshers, is nothing new.

Even 2011-12 period was like this. And Tata company among others called CMC used to scam graduates for this without any repercussions in the name of training.

No, it wasn't always this bad, but don't you see the current global macroeconomic conditions that have made the job market tight?

Multiple wars, Trump tariffs, trade wars, competition from AI tools, etc., everything contributing to economic uncertainty and business risk in the world.

When the economic situation is tough and uncertain, businesses cut down on their spending to reduce risks, and try to squeeze every last cent of value from every dollar that they spend. So that's why the job market is so tough right now.

Businesses don't want to spend on hiring too many new people, and the ones they hire, they want to extract the maximum value from them in exchange for the salary paid.
