Why is everyone still sleeping on R?

For anyone working in research-heavy fields like healthcare or finance, R’s statistical packages (like caret and randomForest) are on another level. Plus, Shiny makes building interactive dashboards suuuuper easy compared to Python’s Dash. Yeaaas, Python has better scalability for production, but if your focus is pure data analysis and visualization, R is a unmatched IMO. Why do you think R doesn’t get the same hype as Python?
