Like I was in TCS and HR/Manager don't raise PIP usually there. They just gave the lowest band C or D.or sometimes release the associate.
But here I am seeing so many post daily where their previous manager due to any reason of budget or personal liking or disliking raising PIP.
Getting worried as after aging, will they do same for the senior associates?

Infosys is waste nowadays....managers are owner of the company they can do anything

Exactly. This is also my first opinion after joining infosys. so much power given to the manager here.

For what I feel, many Managers are incompetent in terms of managing teams and workload. I had very pole opposite experience in 2 projects. In first project, manager had functional knowledge but not technical knowledge which results in unrealistic commitment to client which results in me having to work on weekends. The other manager doesn't seems to know the client very well thus asking his team members to be on the front line for everything.

I think because if the crowd…frankly Infosys is taking anyone …the quality has really degraded…i too wanted to give someone a NI as the person was dumb..I usually dnt use the word but the person was nt good in anything nt even basic communication

You're right. Blaming the manager, office politics, etc., are mostly just lame excuses that employees put forward when placed on PIP. In 2022, I worked with some freshers on a highly important project, and despite four months of time, they were unable to deliver or show any significant output. As a result, management had to put all of them on the bench.

Yeah not sure what's going on, my team or project members or even my other work friends don't have these many NI/ PIP issues in their projects so I'm not sure of the validity of so many of these posts. The count if true is concerning.

It has started recently Managers are told to give ni which is used to put into pip

Honest opinion: Nowadays, some resources demand high salaries but struggle to work independently or handle moderately complex requirements. While a few employees placed on PIP may genuinely face issues like office politics or poor relationships with management, in most cases, the root cause is skill issues.

If lateral hiring is demanding a high salary and could not perform as per managers expectation, then it should be asked to the interviewer first.More over they can be assigned to some less critical role/responsibility .but putting them in pip and forcefully resign is not a good option. Honesty, whenever there is hiring of 10 people, not all 10 people can fulfill managers expectation.
