Why don't IT employees realize that they are being treated like corporate slaves?

Tech spending has gone UP by a lot. These companies are playing on the USDINR arbitrage and still will choose to pay you peanuts so that they can enjoy insane profit margins in this business. You are literally being treated like a daily wage labourer here, the only difference is you are dressed up in formals.

Let this be your call to start something new or switch jobs.

Labour Laws in our country is a joke. As long as the government takes advantage of the middle class, these corporations will also continue to do the same.

@MrRobot1992 This country is a massive joke. We are literally a walking L.

Agreed but wouldn't that motivate these corps to take their business to another 3rd world country?

Actually, I had interviewed for a Y combinator startup in Bengaluru. Small team, my interview round at the end was taken by CEO himself.
I asked him what's his business proposition, how did he convince investors to give seed money and how does he think he'll get funding (this was during funding winter) He said - I tell them(investors) that we earn money in Dollars with the remittance business but we setup our team and everything in India(so keeping the cost of running the business low)

This is the primary reason I see many startups to still hire in India and situation in india being far better than West even during funding winter.
Simply bcoz we are cheap labour.

It's a bloody win-win-win across investors-companies-employees to work in IT in India

Bcoz the bar of salaries is so low, that these companies only have to pay more than that, but not even pay according to PPP and they'll get great talent at peanuts while earning boatload of money. It's just business, similar to how our clothes are manufactured on top of underpaid workers in China

Switch jobs to where?, there are only few companies that need the skills gained out of these companies. and even fewer with better WLB and pay. Why do they do it? because they can and people have no choice.

@Qwerty2398 True. But if you had one life wouldn't you want to do anythibng in your power to get into these companies?

CosmicLlama

@salt -of course everybody tries (atleast tries). But just a matter of time when people give up and accept it. The acceptance could be due to anything - family situation, personal competence, desperation, sometimes their previous job would make them feel this is far better. Point is, we have too many people, not everyone is going to get the best seat. Like our railways. even when you can afford, we wont get the seat in 2ac but we got to do the travel. For some it will be 3Ac, for some its sleeper, for some its open ticket; as reaching the destination is takes priority than the coach they get to travel.

₹16,000 per month that's what Softqube Technologies Pvt Ltd pays for full-time in office "mern stack developer"

tcs/infy basically the corporate group is the better/ less evil option for the level of folks working there.

Maybe doing exploitation and getting exploited is in DNA of most Indians, similar correlation from invasive Mughal rule era.

The work is also like that mostly . Most people have genuine work for 2-3 hours a day on average 🎊

What will happen max to max if we all realise? Don't daily wage labour realise they are getting exploited?
