Why do you ask questions on Grapevine, instead of Reddit ?
Is GV just a new toy in the market, where you feel collecting grapes actually means something?
What's unique about GV? Why would you spend time here instead of Twitter/Reddit where you will get quality answers?
Is it because of the less number of users and you feel your opinion matters more ? Something like a first mover advantage.
Is it because you believe you don't matter on Twitter/Reddit etc ? and won't be able to gain reach there?
Is it anonymity? I doubt, because it's achievable on all other platforms.
Do you not have anything else to do in life and interacting with people here gives you some purpose or a feeling of belonging?
Is it because you believe GV is focused only for professionals? but i don't know how long it will remain that way. You need absurd posts to actually increase engagement.
In my opinion, for many it seems like time-pass or a way to take out their frustrations on others behind anonymity mask.
You might have interacted/met with amazing people, but that could happen on any platform.
I'm not questioning the future of GV, i just want to know why you would use it over other platforms.
What am I missing here ? Or what would you miss if you stopped using GV?

For me, it’s about being able to openly share my thoughts without revealing my identity. Why not Reddit?
Because it’s way too big, and my opinions will not get as much visibility.
Because GV is for professionals, so the audience on GV will always be much better than Reddit. Since GV is small, the chances for me to make some meaningful connections are higher here than compared to Reddit.
GV just feels better. Hope it remains the same. XD

Serious question: how to make meaningful connections in an anonymous platform?

For now, it’s more of a time pass thing. I doubt I’ll miss anything if I stopped using GV completely. I don’t think people will remember it after leaving for more than a few days. Too early for GV to be in that stage.
