Why do women think they can change a man's mind on marriage?
31M. Never married. Never want to be. Just getting off another relationship because the constant badgering to meet her parents and consider the possibility of marriage was taking a toll on my mental acuity. Here's the thing— I always start off mentioning that I don't want to get married so no one's blindsided. The women in question were all between 23-27 and this is the 3rd relationship I've had to end in 2 years because they all thought they could change my mind.
If you're a woman, what's your reasoning?

The reason ?
Hope... The quintessential human delusion.

Power - that's the reason. The hope is - that she can cheat the man - into getting power for herself.
Why is society organized around a woman's reproductive cycles? Power. Why are goddesses depicted riding lions, wild animals? Domestication and ownership of another's power. Why is there a justification of women lying in TV serials, the men being 'useless' etc? Why do these narratives exist? Localization of Power.
Why is India centered around Political Entities? Power. What is the caste system about? Why does it still exist ? Power. What is feminism about? Em-powering women.

Both, men and women do that. Our entire life gets spent trying to change others and other things, other situations/circumstances around us . If you don’t do that, you have already attained Nirvana, Congratulations!

29(F). Marriage is definitely not a need. And no mature woman in today's age thinks she can change anybody's mind. Might want to control it (for pure personal gratification), but not change.

"mature" - today, woman do not mature. They stay young forever. Girls just want to have fun!

They don't think they know, Men are genetically programmed to listen to women. This is blessing from GOD to them to save them.

Every horror movie is about a stupid woman making stupid decisions. And, the guys who are with her die for it. And, she survives.

Honest opinion - I think it's about how most of us say "we don't want to get married" but still most of us will end up getting married. Maybe due to family pressure or whatever.
Also it could be that they want something different than what they wanted 2 years ago. opinions change with time.
