Why do Recruiters dont reply?

Dear Recruiters, why do you not reply back to candidates? I am adult enough to handle rejections? Simple say it rather than ghosting....' we have decided not to move ahead with you at this time'

Before the interview you are all friendly and cooperative suddenly after the interview you are not replying anywhere- messages/email/calls have little courtesy of informating the status on time( sending reply after 2 months doesn't help)
