Why do ppl ask finance advices from random ppl online?
- What makes you sure that the person who’s giving you advice has any credibility
- Also why do most of you have multiple active mutual funds? The whole point of an MF is its diversification. Why do you wanna have different MFs of the same type? It makes sense if you’re having different types of MF though

Aise to why do people ask any advice from random ppl online?
That’s not a valid comparison ig.
Maybe. Most people ask for an advice on a specific thing. And I don’t think it’s hard to figure out if that advice works for them or not.
But with something like MF where you need to be invested in that idea for a really long time and it definitely is a financial commitment.

People buying multiple funds because they don't want to miss out performance of a fund ex: axis, nippon , then quant, then motilal, now ppfas.
At the end they end up owning most of the stocks in n-500, which is like owning a passive index fund with higher commission.
Exactly.
Most of these funds have high intersections and then exit loads as well.

A mutual fund is by far the worst investment product available for the middle class. It's a product only for the rich.
It's an industry that openly transfers all risk to the individual but participates in profits.
but then what is alternative for middle class person.

Desperation.
People are seeing the value of money disappear in front of their eyes. They are seeing how things are always beyond reach. The feel the pain of indiscriminate taxation to fund revdis.
This desperation is driving people to hope that may be some random person might give an idea worth pursuing.
Interesting take.
I agree tho. We are the one who get screwed the most as always!
