Why do onboarding teams require pay slips, given their confidential nature?
Recently, i applied for a job in a BPO and the onboarding team is asking for payslips.
Unfortunately, I could not download my Payslips when I left my last organization.
I tried to email to hr team but I get standard automated responses which is of no help.
I have already given onboarding team my bank statements for entire tenure, showcasing the salary component, my EPF pass book, along with offer letter and relieving letters.
But they are still fixated with three months payslips.
How do I move ahead?

All companies ask for them. That is bare minimum they ask- payslip and last hike letter. I don’t know how you never knew this before leaving the organisation. In fact they ask even before releasing the offer letter.
Your only hope is that they agree to do this via EPFO or ITR portal.

I couldn't download the payslips. I had my bank statements and have epf reports as well as joining and relieving letters

you should download all payslips, increment letters, joining letter before leaving the organization
