Why do highly logical finance people believe in God or Religious?

I've seen Doctors and Scientists believe God and fight over it. I don't think anything else comes closer to this stupidity.

I don't believe. I identify as a Hindu. But I don't believe in God.

Been studying for a professional finance course for sometime now and trust me ALMOST ALL of them(coaches, investment gurus) are devout believers.

And another observation quite a lot of them are Hard Right Wing supporters on literally any domestic/intnl matter. I've absolutely no clue as to why.

We make investments believing our intelligence poweress. After that when we see our money go down the drain, we realise the need of a higher power and become religious.

Believing in God is an easy way out to live life- You can have hope that a sky daddy will make things better when things go wrong.
Living as a non believer is tough because you realise life is a randomness feel helpless.
