What he is not telling that, at the end of 5-7 years of usage you will need to replace your whole battery which will cost 60% of the scooter value.

Ha. Ha. Some lie, Some have a reality distortion field (RDF) issue. RDF is a phenomenon in which an individual’s intellectual abilities, persuasion skills and persistence make other people believe in the possibility of achieving very difficult tasks. The term was coined by Apple employee Bud Tribble to describe former Apple Inc. co-founder, CEO and chairman Steve Jobs’ ability to encourage his team to complete virtually any assigned or delegated task.

EV Scooters (even with battery replacements) are expected to be cost effective in the long run but u need to decide based on ur own usage. Below a certain kms/year the EV does not make sense. take the capital cost (first time +battery replacement) and divide by the per KM saving u get.

Make sense for heavy users who travel 50-100 km a day. There are too many hidden cost too. Let's say the hardware is outdated in 5 years, so can you make it with that?

The key issue is no one in the motorbike segment wants to buy because it is environment friendly. so the only to sell is to say "it is a lot cheaper than traditional ICEs". it is not the best way, but then the only way to make any new product or tech get to mass adoption. the theory is once u have mass sales, ur fixed costs decline over time what we need to understand is that ICEs have a roughly 50-year advantage which cannot be overcome on a cost basis within a few years. the bottom line: buy an EV if u care enough about the environment that u are okay with the costs, and say u paying the extra as an implied value to ur cause for the planet.

Why would anybody lie?. For money for profit. Saying the battery sucks wouldn't be a great sales campaign. Btw al I wonder how foolish people are to buy such electric vehicles l. So digging for petrol is bad but digging for cobalt is good. I think people who wish to impress other or sanctimonious types buy these electric vehicle. They are outright fools.

But at the end of the day all motorised two wheelers are death chariots. For completion: people on bicycles die because someone else rams into them.
